A Moment To Remember - Saturday Blast

Last night, I watched three Asian Movies from my own beloved country Philippines, Thailand and the other one from Korea. Three movies about keeping your love for someone despite the challenges you may go through.

One More Chance.

I watched this movie with my super Kulit Yabs plus my super gaduper pretty Ate MYA. We have all this kulitan pa saying the lines all over again and making faces. So here's the story.....

Their love story began when they first met as students at the University of Santo Tomas: Popoy (John Lloyd Cruz) was majoring in Engineering while Basha (Bea Alonzo) was a freshman in Architecture. They were inseparable and did everything together — eating, studying and attending parties. Both their families loved them, they shared mutual friends and eventually ended up working for the same firm. Every single component of their lives revolved around each other. So, naturally, everyone assumed that they would inevitably get married someday, with Architect Basha designing and planning their dream house while Engineer Popoy building it. Everything could not be more perfect.
At least, that was what Popoy thought. What he did not know was that Basha was not as sure about their future as Popoy seemed to be.
All Popoy's nagging and excessive planning took a toll on Basha. Not only was she tired of trying to carve out her own mark in the hierarchy of the firm, but she also grew weary of Popoy always stepping in to fix things for her. One day, Basha told Popoy that she wanted to resign and move to a smaller firm where she could be given better opportunities to design independently, completely blindsiding her bewildered beau. She revealed the issue that had been brewing inside her for the past year: the real reason why she wanted to leave the company was that she was tired of Popoy and their relationship. She felt hindered by Popoy's constant attention and thought that she had never been given the chance to decide and plan for herself because he always did everything. Popoy was speechless and devastated. That same night, Basha broke up with him, reasoning that she needed the space to grow on her own.
Not knowing how to pick himself up after the love of his life left him, Popoy struggled to live his new life alone. Meanwhile, Basha followed through with her plans to resign from the firm. For a while, she drifted jobless, customizing T-shirts with unusual patterns and designs, until she was offered to work for a smaller firm. Accepting the offer, she began to feel the professional freedom she had been longing for. Popoy and Basha tried to live without each other but the ties that bound them made it difficult for either of them to completely move on, especially when their families and friends were constant reminders of the promises and dreams they had made during their happier days.
Slowly, Popoy moved on and discovered that there was life after Basha; on the other hand, Basha began to find her solitary journey to be harder than she had imagined, especially when Popoy began dating another girl. Although a part of her wanted to get him back, she reminded herself that the decision to terminate the relationship was hers alone.
Opportunity knocked on their door when Popoy's aunt commissioned them to build her house together. After initially feeling awkward, Popoy and Basha eventually warmed up towards each other, especially after memories of the five years they spent together resurfaced. Slowly and unconsciously, they fell into their old routines and found themselves enjoying each other's company once again. Both realized how much they had missed each other, at the same time acknowledging how much they each had changed.
But Popoy knew that giving in would mean that they would go back to how they were before, that she will just go on her way again and ignore him when she grew tired again of their relationship and he will be left alone again and hurt. - Wikipedia
If you haven't seen this movie oh goodness, you'll miss a part of your life hehe..

The ATM - A Thai movie

This movie really made me laughing and giggling, despite there is no english sub on it and I think it was really crazy understanding the Thai language I find it really cute.

Sua (Ter – Chantavit Dhnasevi) and Jib (Ice — Preechaya Pongthananikorn) are like any other couple in this world except for one exception: for the past 5 years they have kept their relationship a secret since the bank where they are employed has a strict “No Fraternization” policy.

It’s not a big deal until they decide to get married. The only problem? Which one of these two Type-A overachievers will put marriage before a career and resign? With neither willing to take the leap of faith they both turn incident into opportunity when an ATM glitch in Chonburi province cashes out over $130,000 baht. The terms are simple: whoever is able to recover the money first gets to keep their job. The couple will turn into no holds barred competitors. Who will literally “go big” in their career or “go home” in this romantic comedy about what two people won’t do for each other in the name of love? It’s the age old battle of the sexes but this time around how can victory be easily declared in a war where there are no more traditional “rules of engagement. - Google

A Moment to Remember

The first segment of the film introduces the protagonists, a woman named Su Jin and a man named Chul Soo. The movie highlights their accidental meeting, followed by their subsequent courting despite the social standings that should have kept them apart. Kim Su-Jin is a 27-year-old fashion designer, spurned by her lover, a colleague who was also a married man. Depressed, she goes to a convenience store, where she bumps into a tall, handsome man with whom she has a slight misunderstanding. Following that, she returns home and, receiving her father's forgiveness, decides to start life afresh.
One day while accompanying her father, who is the head of a construction site, she coincidentally meets the man whom she earlier bumped into at the convenience store. He is Choi Chul-Soo, the construction site's foreman who is aiming to become an architect. Chul-Soo may appear like a rough and dirty construction worker initially, but exudes sheer masculinity in its most basic physical form. Su-Jin instantly takes a liking to Chul-Soo and in what is a refreshing change, actively courts him. There are many sweet events that take place in the occurrence of their courtship, eventually leading to their marriage.
The second segment follows the couple settling into married life. Su-Jin learns to be a housewife as her husband cares for her. As the segment progresses however, Su-jin begins to display forgetfulness, including an incident in which a fire breaks out because of a forgotten stove. While Chul Soo caught the fire in time, the seriousness of the incident and others like it draw them to seek medical help.
The third segment involves the revelation of Alzheimer's disease and the couple's consequent response to it. Su Jin is heavily burdened by the knowledge that she will forget her husband and hides it from him until he seeks advice from the doctor himself. Despite the disease, they make the commitment to stay together and as the disease progresses, the trials the couple go through increase because of Su Jin's consistent loss of memory. - Wikipedia

The fourth segment reveals Su-jin in the final stages of the disease and the grief Chul Soo experiences because of it. Yet he remains beside her, despite her lost memory, hiding his eyes behind sunglasses when he visits her so she can't see his tears. The end of the movie finishes off with Chul Soo replaying the first time they met in the convenience store with all her friends and family there. In the final scene, Su-jin is riding beside her husband in the car in the sunset, and he can finally tell her, "I love you."

Enjoy watching the movie.

Love is a choice and choosing him will always be my greatest happiness:) ..

Young Blood: I'm proud of you:)

Off to office and got a text from him. ‘Read the inquirer page 13 J’ as the text message says.  This is my first reaction, texted him back, ‘ anong meron?’ and had one more glimpse to his text message. This wouldn’t be a bad news there’s a smiley face after the message.

I started asking officemates if they have inquirer newspaper. I was so curious of what should I read in Inquirer page 13. Got out and buy the newspaper and read the articleJ and also opened Inquirer’s site to read the ArticleJ.

Proud of everything you’re doing, from school, to work and your extra activities. One proud girlfriend for you, keep up the good work and more more more articles to read in InquirerJ

Pluto:)

At alam kong kakaiba siyang magmahal..

Colorful balloons for the kids
Working, us we all know is a job in where we are incorporated to ourselves and to a group of people where we can share our decisions, points of view and our attitudes. As we work and communicate with other people we build a community of persons helping each other to fulfill a dream and project that can help people in need.  Our steadfast dedication, come to know the validity and beauty of higher calling: to be MEN and WOMEN for OTHERS, constantly aspiring for excellence in all that we do.

The working committee
I’ve learned so many things in this group that unity, skilled workers, and dedicated people once put together in a job or project they communicate and strengthen the group to work together. Our group planned and strategized first the things that we have to do in order to get the work done early. After, the group came up with one unified task to be done: we formed a chain so as to facilitate the giving of food to the kids.
The people behind the feeding program

From this experience, I gained a lot of insights and learning’s about the dignity of work, the importance of perseverance in any attempt at achieving something worthwhile and meaningful in life; the value of teamwork in any group activity. Though this experience in Tulay Lingap ni Padre Pio was short, it contributed to seeing kids smiling. It gave me an insight into the plight of the poor who have nowhere to lay their heads. I was encouraged to treasure the little things I am blessed with and be contented with what I have. The spirit of sharing and giving was really evident among the group: each one shared his/her smile to those kids who were around.

Food
There are so many things that I could do to build a community in the near future; first I should persevere to do this building, form a group to help people in need; start to engage myself to community building program; come up with creative ideas to make money--fund raising project to sponsor the program and encourage our government to help in the community. Spreading the word about the community program to promote it and increase more volunteers who are willing to help. This are my plans, but this plans will not be successful if me, myself won’t act for it, instead of only saying I’ll try, I will and it will start today.

CHOOSE WHO MADE YOU A BETTER

The Title is a bit confusing... learned from a movie I once watched alone, laughing hard...
We all know that in our lives we always wanted to become the hero of our own story. We never wanted to be the evil one, but always the good, because people are naturally good and the end goal is always to be a man of goodness. It is preferred that people are always remembered by the good deeds rather than the bad deeds they have done.  People would always look up to the hero rather than the villain. What really makes a hero and villain if ever I, myself would become one?
I was once asked in a beauty contest, if I was to choose between the two characters in a movie, the hero or the villain, what would I be, and why? I have always put into my mind to be the hero, but in that competition I chose to be the villain not because I sought to be a bad person, but because I would like to uplift my personality from the shy type girl who is always been teased around, to the girl who’s ready to fight. I opt to have a strong personality who is ready to fight back and to face anyone without fear. It is a test for me to become a villain; since I have a very contradictory personality, a person who hates to fight even when people abused me of the compassion I show them. So as to why I always wanted to be the villain to experience the odd challenge that he brings to the hero.
If I were to be a hero I would opt to become the “Good Guy”, for a straightforward reason that it is much better for a man to have a purpose in doing well. Our intentions and actions should always be balanced. If I desire to become a hero, it is for purpose and courage. To become a hero is not to uplift my name, because I have done well, but because my intentions are good and I have made my part, I have help a lot of people without asking for any reward and recognition.
To become a villain is a challenging character, eloquent to all the oddness, evilness and wickedness he portrays is a difficult job to do, but if given the chance to be one I choose to be the anti-villain because I like the twist he portrays. An anti-villain has done bad deeds, actions, and behaviors, but for the intention of saving, rescuing and helping other people. I cannot really describe the twist and the challenge he shows. I neither would say he is good nor bad, because of its contradiction to what he illustrates and what would he give. He is a challenge for me to do bad actions just to help other people, because I may cause one person hate just to make one person happy.
It defies who we really wanted to become in our own story, become the villain or become the hero. But what really makes a person happy is to be free of his own will and chooses what would really define his own characteristics in life. As persons, we may be the hero or the villain of our own life stories but it really depends on what we desire to choose that would help us to become better persons.

CURIOUS GURL: STRANGE FRUIT

Strange Fruit: Persimmon

Whoah, sorry guys I’ve been away for almost 4 months since I wrote my last blog. Starting a new journey for 2012 and it’s all about food and curiosity. Curious about many things and I know I have a chance to really discover them each day this is my way of celebrating a new life for 2012.
Since, I’m working already (I’m almost 2 years in my current job), I have the resources to buy things I haven’t tried before, so here yah go buy and taste.

Ate Elisse my partner in crime hehe, just introduces me to a radio station she always listens to, The Morning Rush with Chico, Delamar and Gino. Really crazy tandems, indeed they really make people happy by their kulitans and funny jokes haha. We usually listen to their podcast since I can’t wake up early. There is this one topic that I was so curious about, they were talking about this fruit how they love it if it was crunchy or not. It’s like this tomato like fruit. As Chico describes it whoala I said to my mind ‘Search for it and who knows there’s a store selling it’. I click internet explorer and type the name of the fruit ‘Persimmon’ whoot! It was like a tomato the way it was describe. The last thing to do now is to search for it!

Yesterday, because it was month end I had the time to have a grocery at SM Megamall, bought 1milk and 1 chocolate drink for me. I have to buy also some fruits, as I was walking around to choose some of it there you go PERSIMMON I just did found the fruit I was looking for, for 2 days already, lucky me I found it!
The last thing to do today is to taste it and if I will find myself again eating this fruit! Hehe hopefully my taste buds will like it!

So see you later..

As I am writing this blog, i thought of so many things. The start of a conversation, knowing each other and the hardest part maybe is when someone leaves... Its really a drastic day for me. I'm teary eyed and controlling the tears to roll down my cheek..

First thing in the morning today as I woke up, I usually checked my phone for a message (It really makes me smile when I got a morning greeting from someone really really special). There were four of them two of themfrom my Yabs, the other one from my Superfriend and the last one from my bestfriend. I'll just keep the message...

I realized this day that a simple hello may still have a second hello a third hello and an infinite hellos.. Goodbyes are never meant to mean will be parting and won't be seeing anymore but rather hello I'll be seeing you at the right time again, maybe we won't be seeing each other for a long long time but promise we will someday.

A friend says goodbye and the other one ends it...

For now see you later....

The tears that cant be hide

After a long day of having him around I just felt a tear dropping from my face. If I could only ask him could you still stay for an hour to be with me. A tear that can't be hide just did fall when he kissed me goodbye and the cab started to run down the street. I miss him just like everyday.

Just couldn't resist myself not to miss him. Could he ever know how I felt as he walk away from me. He will come back soon and hug me just the way he did tonight. I love you yabs.

Maging matapang. Fulfill your hearts desire. Sumayaw sa bawat musika ng buhay. Live life to the fullest. Matutong tumindig sa sarili at maging matapang.Speak up for yourself wag ng matakot wag ng maging duwag.

Mahal kita.

He Said...

After the conversation today. I felt I have to really let go of the past, that is really hunting me. The past I must let go and never go back, but to learn to move on.

Tulungan mo akong maging buo muli.

Strokes of Love

Each year he sent her roses,
And the note would always say,
I love you even more this year,
Than last year on this day.
My love for you will always grow,
With every passing year.'

She knew this was the last time
That the roses would appear.
She thought, he ordered roses
In advance before this day.

Her loving husband did not know,
That he would pass away.
He always liked to do things early,
Way before the time.

Then, if he got too busy,
Everything would work out fine.
She trimmed the stems and
Placed them in a very special vase.

Then, sat the vase beside
The portrait of his smiling face.
She would sit for hours,

In her husband's favorite chair.
While staring at his picture,
And the roses sitting there.

A year went by, and it was
To live without her mate..
With loneliness and solitude,
That had become her fate.

Then, the very hour,
The doorbell rang, and there
Were roses sitting by her door.

She brought the roses in,
And then just looked at them in shock..
Then, went to get the telephone,
To call the florist shop.

The owner answered, and she asked him,
If he would explain, Why would someone
do this to her, causing her such pain?

'I know your husband passed away,
More than a year ago,'
The owner said,
'I knew you'd call, and you would want to know.'

The flowers you received today,
Were paid for in advance.
Your husband always planned ahead,
He left nothing to chance.

There is a standing order,
That I have on file down here,
And he has paid, well in advance,
You'll get them every year

There also is another thing,
That I think you should know,
He wrote a special little card...he did this years ago.
Then, should ever I find out that he's no longer here,
that's the card that should be sent to you the following year.'

She thanked him and hung up the phone, her tears now flowing hard.
Her fingers shaking,
As she slowly reached to get the card.

Inside the card, she saw that he
Had written her a note...
Then, as she stared in total silence,

This is what he wrote..

'Hello my love, I know it's been a year
Since I've been gone....
I hope it hasn't been too hard for you to
Overcome.
I know it must be lonely,
And the pain is very real.

For if it was the other way,
I know how I would feel.

The love we shared made everything
So beautiful in life.
I loved you more than words can say,
You were the perfect wife.
You were my friend and lover,
You fulfilled my every need.
I know it's only been a year,
But please try not to grieve..
I want you to be happy,
Even when you shed your tears.

That is why the roses will be sent to you for years
When you get these roses,
Think of all the happiness that we had together,
And how both of us were blessed.
I have always loved you and
I know I always will.
But, my love, you must go on,
You have some living still.

Please...try to find happiness,
While living out your days.
I know it is not easy,
But I hope you find some ways.

The roses will come every year,
And they will only stop,
When your door's not answered,
When the florist stops to knock.

He will come five times that day,
In case! You have gone out.
But after his last visit,
He will know without a doubt!
To take the roses to the place,
Where I've instructed him
And place the roses where we are,
Together once again.

Sometimes in life, you find a special friend;
Someone who changes your life
Just by being part of it.

Someone who
makes you laugh
Until you can't stop;
Someone who makes you believe
That there really is good in the world.
Someone who convinces you
That there really is an unlocked door
Just waiting for you to open it.

This is Forever Friendship.

Miro Loves Maggie

Miro a bit quiet shy type of guy ,on the other hand Maggie is the assertive, bubbly and talkative girl next door. They have the same friends and have there own partners in life. Miro is with her girlfriend Rain and Maggie is already engaged with her long time partner, Enzo. Both have really perfect relationship, but time really knows who's really the perfect one for you the so called meant for you.

Miro got separated with rain and likewise with Maggie. Miro was not happy anymore with Rain and Maggie caught his fiance with someone. All got separated. Sad really it is.

Maggie was about to get his passport in Department of Foreign Affairs. She got up early and was waiting for her bestfriend Koi, a rockstar vocalist girl in University of the Philippines, but unfortunately wasn't able to come. Miro on the other side of the road saw Maggie and quickly shout out her name ' Maggie, hey!'. He got no appointment that day and volunteered to accompany her to DFA to get her passport. They bond all day, share stories about life.

On there way home Miro gets his Ipod and shares a song and video to Maggie -----------> Take time to realize hmmmmmmmmm they just caught each other singing and looking into each others eye. Ooopppssss kinda awkward already hehe and just laugh.

At the party of Koi. Maggie and Miro was there and everyone was there. Koi the super much naughty girl played truth and dare game. Koi just got the perfect timing for Miro and Maggie to tell each other how they feel.Whoala it all started there.

After a year Maggie got pregnant and Miro decided to marry her, but one question was uttered by Maggie 'Miro   what is your reason of marrying me is it because I'm pregnant. Give me one reason why you are marrying me. I won't accept the reason that you'll just marry me because I'm pregnant. You still have a week and you can still back out.'

Counseling day Priest ' Please introduce your future wife to be.' Miro ' Everyone I would like to introduce to you my future wife to be Maggie. I am marrying her for just one simple reason I love her and I want to spend the rest of my life to be with her' Maggie got up from her seat and was teary eyed and hugged Miro so tight.

They got married and was blessed with a super cute little boy named Llodd.  Until now they both love and still are in love with each other.

Love really such a magical feeling.

Sharing a true story of a friend

Fragile

I certainly don't know how to describe myself in as much as I wanted to describe it in the best way one thing I really new about myself I'm fragile.

Salamat at natagpuan muli kita. Isang daan at isang porsyento at nagbibilang pa!

Success over poverty

It's been a year since Noynoy Aquino's term started as the president of the Philippines.

Binabatigos siya ng dating namamahala sa Pilipinas oh well, she's washing her hand.

Uu nga, bakit nga ba mahirap ang Pilipinas unang una corrupt government officials, No family planning, at katamaran.

I say we all have dreams we all have hope and we all have time let's not waste everything and do the right thing. Make our success the success of our country, Philippines. Mabuhay ka Pilipinias, Mabuhay ka.

THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY...

In your life, you’ll make note of a lot of people. Ones with whom you shared something special, ones who will always mean something. There’s the one you first kissed, the one you first loved, the one you lost your virginity to, the one you put on a pedestal, the one you’re with…and the one that got away.

Who is the one that got away? I guess it’s that person with who everything was great, everything was perfect, but the timing was just wrong. There was no fault in the person, there was no flaw in the chemistry, but the cards just didn’t fall the right way, I suppose.

I believe in the fact that ending up with someone, finding a longtime partner that is, does not lie merely in the other person. I can actually argue that an equal part, or maybe even the greater part, has to do with the matter of timing. It has to do with you being ready to settle down and commit to someone in a way that goes beyond the little niceties of giddy romance.

How often have you gone through it without even realizing it? When you’re not ready to commit in that mature manner, it doesn’t matter who you’re with, it just doesn’t work. Small problems become big; inconsequentials become dealbreakers simply because you’re not ready and it shows. It’s not that you and the person you’re with are no good; it’s just that it’s not yet right, and little things become the flashpoint of that fact.

Then one day you’re ready. You really are. And when this happens you’ll be ready to settle down with someone. He or she may not be the most perfect, they might not be the brightest star of romance to ever have burned in your life, but it’ll work because you’re ready. It’ll work because it’s the right time and you’ll make it work. And it’ll make sense, it really will.

So that day comes when you’re finally making sense of things, and you find yourself to be a different person. Things are different, your approach is different, you finally understand who you are and what you want, and you’ve become ready because the time has truly arrived. And mind you, there’s no telling when this day will come. Hopefully you’re single but you could be in a long-term relationship, you could be married with three kids, it doesn’t matter.

All you know is that you’ve changed, and for some reason, the one that got away, is the first person you think about.

You’ll think about them because you’ll wonder, "What if they were here today?" You’ll wonder, "What if we were together now, with me as I am and not as I was?". That’s what the one that got away is. The biggest "What if?" you’ll have in your life.

If you’re married, you’ll just have to accept the fact that the one that got away, got away. Believe me, no matter how fairy tale you think your marriage is, this can happen to the best of us. But hopefully you’re mature enough to realize that you’re already with the one you’re with and this is just another test of your commitment, one which will just strengthen your marriage when you get past it. Sure, you’ll think about him/her every so often, but it’s alright. It’s never nice to live with a "might have been," but it happens.

Maybe the one that got away is the one who’s already married. In which case it’s the same thing. You just have to accept and know that your memories of that person will probably bring a nice little smile to your lips in the future when you’re old and gray and reminiscing. But if neither of that is the case, then it’s different. What do you do if it’s not yet too late? Simple…find him, find her. Because the very existence of a "one that got away" means that you’ll always wonder, what if you got that one?

Ask him out to coffee, ask her out to a movie, it doesn’t matter if you’ve dropped in from out of nowhere. You’d be surprised, you just might be "the one that got away" as well for the person who is your "the one that got away."

You might drop in from out of nowhere and it won’t make a difference.

If the timing is finally right, it’ll all just fall into place somehow and you know, I’m thinking, it would be a great feeling in the end, to be able to say to someone, "Hey you, you’re the one that almost got away." -MJM; MT=)=)

I have once lost him about 2 years ago, but see how time gives me so many reasons not to let go and still hope for another chance:). Maybe it was not our time to be together long time ago. Reminiscing all of this really make me smile and believe that God has many surprises. Stand still and believe in Him!.

THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY'.. He almost got away, at sadyang perfect lang ang timing.:)

Birthday Girl's wishes

Big gurl (lady) me:)
Its June 13 already and whoala my birthday is coming wahhh and I'm turning 24 already hehe but doesn't look to be a 24 old girl or should I say lady? Hehe laughing every time people would still ask for my age and throw the same question to them. What do you think? But the truth is yes I will be turning 24 this July 3 and still this small petite lady would not grow anymore haha (Thank you Papa God for that I still look young) . Any plans for my birthday, hmmm I'm still thinking about it. Hmmmm so this is an opportunity for me to have some birthday wish.

3 birthday wish for Ms. Tonee.

1. Hope to hug Mama - Mama is in her sad moments right now. I wanted to hug her during my birthday and tell here I love her this big and and maybe in that one super tight hug she'll be okay.

2. My DSLR Cam - See I couldn't get over having one SLR cam. Please I wanted to take pictures of everything especially his smiles. I wanted to take every moment with him so special.

3. A healthy me - I always wish this every birthday to be healthy. Wahhhh What's wrong with me?

These is all I wish for nothing more nothing less no more big teddy bear I have a big teddy bear to hug everyday, yabs. 20 more days before my special day. My 24 years of life is kinda weirdo, exciting, naughty, there are sad moments but still I wouldn't exchange for anything. I love how I live today having the people I love, meeting new faces and being friends with beautiful souls. This is life, I wanted to live it with so much hope, faith and love in my heart and soul. I will be learning more in every step I take in my journey. Tiny Tonee will be strong in every way:)

Thanking Papa God everyday.♥
